I appeared on Boston's ABC affiliate (WCVB-TV Channel 5) Sunday show, CITYLINE, last weekend to talk about Oprah Winfrey's impact on viewers and the TV business. Click here to watch the segment.
I also appeared on the station's daily news magazine show, Chronicle, yesterday, talking about Oprah's enduring popularity. I come up at the 1:17 minute mark.

  2. oh---and "Dr. Oz" takes over her slot out here in LA on KABC. "Ellen" is on KNBC. I watched the last episode today. Great finale. It's weird that she's "gone".

  3. Thanks T! My friends have been telling me (ordering me) to do more of these on-air talks about local media but I tend to get the giggles on camera. I managed to remain serious for this one. I had a lot of fun doing it. It's nice to be on the other side and see how things work.

  4. PS
I channeled the Ted Williams character from Miami Manhunt. (He would have loved being on WCVB)

  5. I totally agree with your friends. You should listen to them.

The key to handling the giggles is to make sure the host dissolves into giggles as well. LOL.
