Miami/Boston TV by the numbers

Robin Thicke sees some "Blurred Lines" on BET

Miami/Fort Lauderdale TV viewers were really feeling the BET 2013 awards show because it was the most watched program in South Florida for the week of June 24-June 30. The show drew 276,000 total viewers. Rounding out the rest of the top shows that week were telenovelas from Univision and Telemundo networks. And the most watched English-language shows came courtesy of CBS's "Under the Dome" on WFOR (#18 with 143,000 viewers) and ABC's "20/20" news magazine show on WPLG (#30 at 122,000 viewers).











Here are the top 10 for that week:

And up in Boston, the ratings were all about sports (the Bruins, the Red Sox) and English-language dramas (CBS's "Under the Dome") Of note, the broadcast of the "Boston Strong" celebrity fundraiser, which aired on WCVB-ABC, had a strong viewership. It was the third most watched program that week with 335,000 viewers. The only newscast in the top 30 was WFXT-Ch. 25's 10 p.m. newscast from June 30 which came in at #17 with 135,000 viewers.

  1. I love that you don't differentiate. The Top 10 in the market is the Top 10.

    I'm very surprised that the BET Awards did so well in Miami. And I'm even more surprised that "Under the Dome" did well...anywhere.

    Actually, the radio tations with the largest percentage share of listeners in Miami/Fort Lauderdale market are HOT 105 which is urban adult contemporary, followed by 99 JAMZ which is urban contemporary.
