    I grew up in NJ and can still remember the names of many of the news anchors in the NY market.

    KTLA out here in LA does a great balancing act between branding the station (which is a legend in and of itself) and making sure their news anchors are well-known in the market.

    It's about the association for them. Both the station and the new teams benefit.
